The Apple event in September is a hotly anticipated event every year, with fans and technology enthusiasts eagerly awaiting new products and innovations from Cupertino. This year, the event will be held under the theme "It's Glowtime" but according to renowned journalist Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, some anticipated products such as the new AirPods Max and an updated Apple TV may not be announced at the event after all.
Apple has launched a variety of new technologies in recent years, from iPhones to MacBooks to its popular AirPods. Rumors and speculation about new products are always abound, and new versions of the AirPods Max and Apple TV have been the subject of much discussion. However, according to Mark Gurman, it is unlikelythat we will see these two products at the upcoming Apple event.
AirPods Max: Delayed release, but why?
The AirPods Max have attracted a lot of attention since their launch, particularly for their high sound quality and luxurious design. Rumors of a new version of the AirPods Max with new color options and a USB-C port instead of the traditional Lightning port have been circulating for some time. This update would have excited many users, especially at a time when USB-C is slowly becoming the standard in the tech world. But according to Gurman, it is unlikely that Apple will unveil the new AirPods Max at the September event.
New AirPods Max without chip upgrade
The reason for this is allegedly that there is currently still sufficient stock of the current model. So Apple does not seem to be in a rush to launch a new version. This could also be because the planned changes are rather minor and the new AirPods Max will still be considered part of the first generation. What is particularly exciting is that Gurman expects that the new AirPods Max will not be equipped with the H2 chip that was introduced in the AirPods Pro in 2022. Innovative features such as Adaptive Audio will also be omitted.
Apple TV: New model only later?
There is also some speculation about the Apple TV, which Gurman addresses in his report. It is rumored that Apple is working on a new Apple TV, which was originally supposed to be released early this year. This model is said to be equipped with a faster processor, probably a successor to the A15 Bionic chip, and will be even cheaper. Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo even hinted that the price of the next Apple TV could be under $100, which would be a tempting offer for many users. But according to Gurman, an announcement at the upcoming Apple event is unlikely here too. He argues that the stock of the current Apple TV model is stable and therefore there is no urgent need to introduce a new device. This means that Apple fans hoping for a new Apple TV will have to wait a little longer.
What can we expect at the Apple event?
Despite the possible absence of new AirPods Max and Apple TV, there is still reason to look forward to it. Apple is expected to introduce new iPhones, Apple Watches and AirPods 4, which are always a highlight at the events. These products play a central role in Apple's ecosystem, and it will be exciting to see what new features and designs await us this year. The introduction of new software features that will make Apple's devices even more interconnected could also be particularly interesting. So for anyone who is invested in Apple's ecosystem, there is plenty to look forward to. (Photo by Unsplash / Project 290)
