According to rumors, Apple plans to introduce the iPhone 14 series on September 7th. Now it is reported that the development of iOS 16 was already completed last week.
In the latest edition of his “Power On” newsletter affirmed Mark Gurman says iOS 16 and watchOS 9 will be released in September along with the new iPhone 14 and Apple Watch Series 8 models, while he expects iPadOS 16 and macOS Ventura to be released in October. Gurman writes:
iOS 16: New features are no longer to be expected
The iOS 16.0 update, which Apple engineers finished working on last week, is scheduled to be released in September alongside watchOS 9. These updates will correspond with the new hardware. The macOS Ventura and iPadOS updates, on the other hand, are now scheduled for October (after delays to the iPad software by Stage Manager) to harmonize with the new hardware.
This likely means that Apple has no major new features or changes planned for the remaining iOS 16 betas and will instead focus on bug fixes in the final weeks before the software update is released. (Photo by yalcin.sonat / Bigstockphoto)
