According to a display analyst, Apple is developing a larger iPad Pro model with a 14.1-inch MiniLED display and an M2 chipset that could be released as early as next year.
Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) said in a new Twitter post, his supply chain sources have confirmed that a 14.1-inch iPad Pro is in development. The model will have ProMotion, Face ID, and a miniLED backlight, Young added. As for the release date, Young cannot yet say when the device will hit the market. However, he believes an early 2023 launch is likely.
Will Apple introduce three new iPad Pro models with M2 chipset in 2023?
The display analyst's confirmation appears to be a response to a report from informant Majin Bu on Wednesday. According to Bu, Apple is developing a 14.1-inch iPad Pro with an M2 chip and 16GB of RAM. He added that the device will launch alongside an 11-inch iPad Pro and a 12.9-inch iPad Pro with reduced bezels. Young has an excellent track record when it comes to providing accurate information about Apple displays. Bu's track record is rather mixed. But the leaker appears to have released accurate information about Apple's stage manager ahead of WWDC 2022. (Image: Apple)
