The new year is still young – but the rumor mill doesn't seem to want to stop. The latest report refers to the successor to the iPhone SE.
According to rumors, the successor to the iPhone SE will be released this year. According to various reports, this is a device based on the iPhone 8 - it will have the latest A13 chip and 3 GB of RAM. With a 4.7-inch display diagonal, however, it is slightly larger than the actual iPhone SE. Now the controversial DigiTimes claims that the entry-level device will be released in two versions. According to this, a Plus model of the iPhone SE 2 is planned. This could have a 5.5-inch or 6.1-inch LCD display. The platform cites sources from the supply chain. The rumor that a Plus version of the new entry-level iPhone will be released is not new. The accurate analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has already predicted this. But he does not expect the device until next year.
Apple event expected in spring
Of course, Apple could have spontaneously changed its plans, but as long as the DigiTimes report is not confirmed by other sources such as Kuo, Bloomberg or more, this report should be viewed with skepticism, as the platform does not have a particularly high hit rate when it comes to Apple matters. The presentation of the iPhone SE successor will most likely take place in spring. The first big Apple event could therefore be held in March - everything we know so far about the iPhone SE 2 can be found in our big Summary read it. (Photo by igor stevanovic / Bigstockphoto)
