The new AirPods Studio will have all the features that previous AirPods offer. However, they will appear in an over-ear design and are modular – according to the rumor mill. Thanks to small magnets, users should be able to swap ear and headband pads, allowing them to use the headphones for sports or other occasions. There should be a choice between leather-like and more breathable, fitness-friendly material. The AirPods Studio are also expected to have special sensors. This means that the new headphones will recognize whether they are on the user's head or neck. Playback should be played or paused accordingly.

If the wearer takes the AirPods Studio off completely, they switch off automatically. In addition, the Apple headphones will recognize the left and right ear individually in order to be able to pass on the audio channels correctly.
