In the last few hours there have been several reports that the AirPods 3 will be released this fall - various platforms have cited different sources. Now star analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also commented on the topic.
Apple's wireless headphones were introduced on September 7, 2016 and have been on sale since December 2016. The AirPods are still very popular today. Expectations for the AirPods 2 were very high - which made the disappointment all the greater when Apple recently presented the second generation. The popular earbuds were only given a new chip that enables the "Hey Siri" function. Now, over the last few hours, several reports have surfaced that Apple is planning to introduce the AirPods 3 this autumn. Among other things, they are said to be equipped with better noise cancellation and include many new features that were already expected in the second generation of AirPods.
Two new models in the forge
After all the commotion, star analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has now also spoken out. According to his sources, two new AirPods models are in the works. One of the two models will have a completely new design and will cost more. The other will remain the same in terms of appearance and price, as was the case with the first two generations. He could not say exactly what functions the two AirPods models will have. Rumors have it that Apple intends to install a larger battery - earlier reports have also suggested expansions in health monitoring. According to Kuo, Apple plans to present the new AirPods in autumn 2019 or spring 2020.
