Rumor has it that Apple will unveil the AirPods 3 later this month. Now, more images have surfaced showing the new AirPods Pro-like design.
Only recently, images were released that supposedly show the new AirPods 3. Now more images have been released by 52audio submitted later. As seen in previous leaks, the AirPods 3 will have an AirPods Pro-like design with a shorter stem and a rounded body that is almost identical to that of the AirPods Pro. While the stem will be a little longer than that of the AirPods Pro, it will be significantly shorter than that of the AirPods 2.
But without silicone attachments?
Initial rumors suggested that the new buds will have snap-on silicone ear tips for a more comfortable and adjustable fit in the ear, similar to the AirPods Pro. However, that doesn't seem to be the design shown in the images. If these images are legit, the AirPods 3 will have a similar design to the previous generation without silicone tips. While the third generation of buds will look almost like the Pro version, rumors suggest that they won't have any Pro features. That means the AirPods 3 won't have active noise cancellation. Spatial Audio will also likely be missing.

Will Apple unveil the AirPods 3 at an event?
It is not yet known whether new features will be added. 52audio assumes that the third generation will be priced at $150. The AirPods 2 will be sold for $159 without a wireless charging case and for $199 with a wireless charging case. It is not clear whether Apple will offer both options with the AirPods 3. It is currently suspected that only a case with a wireless charging function will be offered. If current rumors are to be believed, Apple will hold an event on March 23rd. Both new AirPods and iPad Pro models are to be presented. Further developments will therefore certainly remain exciting. (Image via 52audio)
