According to various sources, the AirPods 3 will still be launched this year. After several dates have been announced that have not come to fruition, some people are now doubting this.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo recently reported on the weekend before the "California Streaming" event that the third generation AirPods would be presented during the virtual event. As we know, that was not the case. However, various sources claim that mass production of the new earbuds has already started. Now DigiTimes has spoken out again reported and a market launch is planned for the end of the year.
AirPods 3 could be presented via press release
According to various rumors, the third generation AirPods will have a similar design to the current AirPods Pro, making them the biggest update to date. Despite the revised casing, however, features such as active noise cancellation are not to be expected. The audio quality is said to be better than the second generation, however. Among other things, there is said to be "noticeably better bass." Battery life is also expected to increase. Apple presented the AirPods Pro 2019 via a press release. Apart from their first unveiling on Apple's stage in 2016, the later AirPods versions were presented via press releases. Apple could therefore also announce the AirPods 3 in the coming weeks via a press release or present them at the second event in the fall, which is expected to take place at the end of the month or in November. It remains to be seen which path Cupertino will now choose. (Photo by Masarik / Bigstockphoto)
