Rumors about the AirPods 3 and iPad Pro 2021 series have been with us for many months. Now a tried and tested leaker has spoken out and given details.
Apple's next-generation AirPods are "ready to ship." The second-generation AirPods will be discontinued later this month, according to a proven leaker known as "Kang" on Chinese social media site Weibo. There are numerous rumors that Apple is working on the third generation of AirPods. Leaked images and renders - based on prototypes - suggest that the new earbuds will have a similar design to the AirPods Pro, including shorter stems. While the new AirPods could look similar to the AirPods Pro, they are not expected to feature Active Noise Cancellation.
iPad Pro 2021: MiniLED exclusive for 12.9-inch version?
In addition to the AirPods, Kang also commented on the new iPad Pro line. The leaker is convinced that the 12.9-inch iPad Pro will outperform the 11-inch model in 2021, suggesting that the next-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro could have at least one exclusive feature compared to the 11-inch model. Various sources have already claimed that the large device will have a mini-LED-backlit LCD display. Therefore, Kang's statement could confirm the previous rumors. In addition, the new iPad Pro line is expected to include a faster A14X chip and support for 5G networks.
Apple event on March 23rd?
It is currently believed that the new products will be unveiled at a digital event on March 23. The Date was announced by Kang himself. If the date is correct, a corresponding announcement from Apple should be made next week. "Kang" has an almost perfect track record when it comes to Apple leaks. Most recently, he revealed a number of details about the iPhone 12 models, the Apple Watch Series 6 and the iPad Air 4. Thanks to him, the HomePod mini was also leaked. It can therefore be assumed that his information will be correct this time too. (Photo by Vladimka / Bigstockphoto)
