What will Apple call the new iPhones? This question has been on the minds of the community for months. It all started with the name iPhone 9. iPhone Xc was still being discussed just yesterday. Now Bloomberg has its say.
The news channel Bloomberg has now published a report about the upcoming 6.1” LCD iPhone. It covers the name, availability and price.
It will be called the iPhone Xr - not the iPhone Xc or iPhone 9 - according to Bloomberg. Due to the low number of units, there will be supply bottlenecks at the market launch. Compared to the OLED models, it will be much cheaper.
According to the news channel, it will cost between 699 and 749 US dollars. Goldman Sachs even expects the price to be 849 US dollars.
In addition to the 6.1" device, two other models are expected. The iPhone Xs with 5.8" and the iPhone Xs Plus with 6.5". Both devices are expected to have an OLED screen. In addition to the iPhones, Apple will also present new Apple Watch models. The keynote will take place on September 12th.
