Thanks to advances in machine learning, Siri is now able to respond to user requests even without internet access in iOS 15. FaceTime is also being significantly improved as a result.
Normally, Siri records a voice request and forwards the data to a server to respond. With iOS 15 update Siri will now work without an internet connection. Users will be able to make specific requests by voice to control the device or execute shortcuts. Siri will be able to control aspects of the device such as WiFi, airplane mode, dictation, and app control without an internet connection. All commands will be processed on the device and user privacy will continue to be the highest priority.
FaceTime now supports Android and other devices via a browser
Apple will now allow users to schedule FaceTime calls in advance. The video calling platform will also support non-Apple devices such as Android smartphones. The company introduced a new FaceTime feature for iOS 15 called FaceTime Links, which can be shared via iMessage, Calendar, WhatsApp, email, or other communication platforms. In addition to the ability to schedule FaceTime calls, the FaceTime Links feature also allows joining a FaceTime call from a non-Apple device. This includes Android smartphones, computers, or any device that can access a web browser. It should allow FaceTime to become a more versatile alternative to platforms like Zoom or Skype for Apple users. Along with FaceTime Links, Apple also introduced new audio and video elements to the FaceTime platform. (Photo by DedMityay / Bigstockphot)
