With this year's World Wide Developer Conference, Apple will be taking a new approach. That means that WWDC 2020 will be held entirely online for the first time. Now the company seems to be launching a first test in the form of a webinar on the topic of accessibility.
WWDC 2020 will be held entirely online due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. This will not only be Apple but also completely new for app developers. But how could you test the whole thing in advance? Maybe with a webinar? It seems to be a good idea at least. Some registered developers have received an invitation from Apple to such a webinar. It will be about accessibility. The invitation states:
Interaction with Apple's engineers possible
At Apple, we believe technology is most powerful when it benefits everyone involved. Join us for an online event to learn how you can take advantage of award-winning accessibility that comes standard on Apple devices. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions during and after sessions and sign up for one-on-one consultations.
The idea is great and is well received by the audience. What is particularly interesting, however, is the fact that developers can interact with Apple's engineers for the first time during the online event. Those who have received the invitation can register directly via email. The event will take place on April 23rd and should provide an interesting foretaste of the WWDC 2020 delivery.
