This year's World Wide Developer Conference will start next week on June 22nd. Apple has now updated the Developer app and released a macOS version. Invitations have also been sent out.
This year's WWDC 2020 will be a very special event. It is the first fully digital World Wide Developer Conference and therefore also the largest in the company's history. Apple has now started sending invitations to media representatives by email. It says:
Join us for the first-ever all-online WWDC, kicking off June 22 with a special event keynote from Apple Park.
But one detail is missing - the word "live". According to this, some media outlets are now concluding that Apple could probably show a recording of the keynote on June 22nd. This means that the event would not be live. So while invitations are now being sent out, the website inviting all users to the event has also been updated. The keynote broadcast will be available via the events on the homepage, Apple TV and YouTube. There will also be a stream within the Apple Developer app, which is only accessible to registered developers.
Apple updates Developer App
In conjunction with this, an update to the Apple Developer app was also released. The new version of the application includes a redesigned Discover tab that makes it easier to find out about news, videos, and more, as well as an option for favorite articles in addition to videos and session content. The updated Browse tab allows users to search for existing sessions, videos, and articles. Additionally, the WWDC tab has been redesigned in preparation for the upcoming WWDC event. In addition, the application is now also available in Mac App Store The keynote will take place on Monday, June 22nd at 7 p.m. in this country - you can read about the new features we can expect in iOS 14 and watchOS 7 in our extensive summaries.
