Like many other services, the popular messenger WhatsApp is also constantly being developed further. A new feature is now being introduced that is intended to bring the service closer together with Facebook and other services.
WhatsApp's status function works similarly to stories in Instagram or Facebook. Now the so-called status sharing is coming to WhatsApp. This allows users to share their WhatsApp status directly in Facebook Stories, Instagram Stories, Google Photos and other services. The company told The Verge that the sharing function does not link accounts from the respective services in any way and instead transfers the data on the individual device via Android and iOS data sharing APIs.
Even if the status is shared on another Facebook-owned service such as Instagram, both posts remain separate from each other. WhatsApp was founded in 2009 and is one of the largest social networks in the world with around 1.5 billion users who send over 60 billion messages every day. The messenger is, just like Instagram, part of the Facebook empire. Do you want more security? This is how you activate the screen lock in WhatsApp. (Image: C00)
