The time has finally come – WhatsApp has added an important privacy feature for groups.
At the beginning of the year, an important and, above all, much-desired feature was announced in the area of data protection. This is intended to prevent random and sometimes very annoying additions to groups. Almost every WhatsApp user knows this situation - you have been added to a group - often without being asked - this is now over. WhatsApp has finally made the feature for controlling group invitations available to all users. Users can choose between all WhatsApp contacts, "Contacts except..." or "Share only with...". If the user chooses the second or third option, they will receive a separate message with a link in the event of an invitation and have 72 hours to decide whether to join.
And that's how it works!
The feature was originally supposed to appear much earlier - the reason for the delay remains unknown. Open the settings within the WhatsApp application and navigate to the "Account" section. Now tap on "Privacy" and select "Groups" - see screenshots. (Photo by Rafael Henrique / Bigstockphot)
