WhatsApp has started rolling out Reactions 2.0, allowing users to choose any emoji they want to use to react to a message in a one-on-one or group chat.
Reactions 2.0 was just announced by Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta. He writes:
We are introducing the ability to use any emoji as a reaction on WhatsApp.
While the first version of Reactions for WhatsApp was launched in early May with six different emojis, the app is now following the same path as Instagram and letting users choose which emoji they want to use.
WhatsApp Reactions: Users can react with all emojis
Please note: The extension will be rolled out starting today and will not be available to every user immediately. It may take a few days or even weeks before everyone can benefit from it. You can find out whether you already have access to it as follows:
- Long press on a message.
- Tap one of the emojis displayed or tap the “+” symbol to select another emoji.
In addition, just like Instagram, users can change their reaction to a different emoji by long-pressing on the same message and changing the emoji or simply clicking on the same one to remove it. (Photo by DenPhoto / Bigstockphoto)
