After WhatsApp has already introduced different playback speeds for voice messages, the company is now working on the so-called “global” voice message player.
As WABetaInfo now reported, WhatsApp is working on an improved version of its voice message player. Strictly speaking, it is supposed to be a "global voice message player". But what does that mean? According to the blog, the feature is called "global" because the voice message player will now be placed at the top of the application. This means that it is always visible, no matter which area of the app is visited. This means that the user can pause or end the voice messages at any time.
WhatsApp: Play voice messages app-wide
Basically, it's reminiscent of Telegram. In other words, you'll be able to listen to longer voice messages while you reply to messages in other chats or clean up your chat history - or whatever.

According to WABetaInfo, this feature is still under development and therefore not available to the public or beta testers. So it will probably be some time before it is made available to all users. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
