It's been a while since WhatsApp worked on improving the voice calling experience in its app, but a new beta version shows that the company is planning a revamped UI for a future update.
Like WABetaInfo reported, version 22.5.0.70 has a new interface for voice calls. This redesign is currently being rolled out to some beta testers. As you can see in the screenshot below, WhatsApp is improving the UI when you are in a group call. The interesting thing is that the app recently introduced visible waveforms for audio messages and now plans to introduce them for calls as well.

WhatsApp wants to make voice calls more attractive
This way you can see exactly who is speaking or who has not activated their microphone. WABetaInfo also reports that WhatsApp is introducing background images for voice calls, although it is not possible to edit them at the moment. As soon as the feature is rolled out to all users, we will of course report on it as always. (Photo by Denys Prykhodov / Bigstockphoto)
