WhatsApp for iOS has just been updated to version 22.2.75. Many features that have been tested for several months are now being incorporated into the public version of the app.
One of the most important features of this update is the ability to pause and resume voice message recording. The feature has been tested since October and is now being rolled out to all WhatsApp users. Another feature included in update 22.2.75 relates to iOS 15. Notifications now also support focus mode, meaning selected users can send you messages even if you have set a focus mode. Last but not least, WhatsApp has been preparing a change to notifications in recent weeks.
WhatsApp Update: New features are being rolled out gradually
In fact, the app will now show your contacts' profile photos in notifications when someone sends you a message. With profile photos in notifications, WhatsApp is following a trend that other apps such as Twitter and Telegram have already implemented. Please note: In order to use the latest features, you must update the app. If version 22.2.75 is not immediately available in the App Store available you will have to be patient. WhatsApp also points out that the functions will be available to all users in the next few weeks. This means that not everyone will be able to access them immediately.
