There were some problems with watchOS 5 – including with the activity ring. The watchOS 5.0.1 update is supposed to fix these bugs.
Yesterday evening, Apple released a new update for the Apple Watch. Since the release of the new watchOS 5, several errors have been reported. For example, training minutes were counted incorrectly. There were also problems with the charging process, as some users were unable to charge their smartwatch at all. In addition, some users were not counted for the minutes they spent standing in the afternoon. The watchOS 5.0.1 update is supposed to put an end to this.
The update description states the following:
⁃Fixed a bug where training minutes were incorrectly counted
⁃Fixed a bug that prevented the Apple Watch from reliably awarding points for the standing goal
⁃Fixed a bug that prevented Apple Watch from charging
The update can be installed as usual via the Watch app on the iPhone.
