Apple released the watchOS 5.1.2 update on December 6th.
In addition to stability improvements, there are some optimizations. Owners of an Apple Watch Series 4 are provided with additional "complications" for the Infograph and Infograph Modular watch faces. These include Mail, Messages, Home, Maps, Phone, Find Friends and Remote. Bug fixes have also been made. Apple has also released the new ECG feature in the USA. This allows users of the Apple Watch Series 4 to have a cardiogram created using a special app.
battery life decreased
Now there are increasing reports from users complaining about poorer battery life. For many users, battery consumption under watchOS 5.1.2 is said to have increased by around 10 - 30 percent. The reason for the poorer battery life has not yet been found - and not all users seem to be affected. Apple itself has not yet commented on this. It remains to be seen whether the problem will be resolved with the next software update.
