Apple released a new firmware update for its AirTags on Monday evening, which has the version number 2.0.36.
There is no information yet on what the AirTags firmware update includes, but Apple may provide a support document with details. It is not possible to force an AirTag update because it is done through a connected iPhone. To make sure the update goes through, you can bring your AirTag within range of your iPhone.
Apple AirTags receive new firmware version
You will have to wait for the firmware to roll out to your device, however. You can check your current AirTag firmware version via the Find My app. Strangely, Apple started making the previous firmware available for the AirTags 2A24e in November, but then pulled the update before it was fully rolled out. The new firmware released today replaces that version. Are you looking for suitable AirTag cases? Then take a look at Amazon. In our AirTag list you will find the trackers and accessories from Apple and third-party providers - enjoy browsing. (Photo by Masarik / Bigstockphoto)
