The social media service Instagram today announced the introduction of a brand new tab in the main navigation. At the same time, an existing feature is being expanded to additional countries.
Instagram has started to expand the main interface of the photo app. In addition to Reels, the announced Shop tab is to be implemented. According to a statement:
Today, we're also launching the new Shop tab in the main navigation bar globally. The Shop tab allows you to discover the latest trends from brands and creators on Instagram Shop with just one tap - all in one place. Companies can be featured on Instagram Shop by consistently tagging products in their content and creating collections of their products in their shop on Instagram.

Instagram Reels: Share entertaining videos with friends and other Instagram users
The Reels feature, cloned from Tik Tok, was introduced in August this year and made available in some markets, including Germany. The function is now to be made available worldwide. This can also be found in the main navigation from now on. The company has announced in an earlier notice the function was advertised as follows:
Reels is a way for you to share fun videos with your friends and other Instagram users. You can shoot 15-second multi-clip videos and edit them with sound, effects, and new creative tools. You can share Reels with your followers in the feed, and if you have a public account, you can also show them to the entire Instagram community through a new section in Explore. Reels in the Explore tab gives everyone the opportunity to become a creator on Instagram and reach new audiences around the world.
Now that the rollout has officially started, it is of course possible that not every user will have access to it immediately. However, this should change in the next few days. AirPods Pro on special offer at Amazon – available now. (Photo by nikkimeel / Bigstockphoto)
