I already reported on Friday that the "Unlock with Apple Watch" feature on the iPhone 13 doesn't work in most cases. Shortly afterwards, Apple spoke up and promised an update. The error has now been fixed in the second beta of iOS 15.1.
Many users like to use the "Unlock with Apple Watch" feature. But if you have an iPhone 13, you will probably face a problem - the function does not work. Apple describes the problem as follows:
“Unlock with Apple Watch”: Apple fixes problem under iOS 15.1 & watchOS 8.1
Apple has identified an issue where unlocking with Apple Watch doesn't work on iPhone 13 devices. If you try to unlock your iPhone while wearing a face mask, you may see a "Cannot connect to Apple Watch" message or you may not be able to enable the feature at all. This issue will be fixed in an upcoming software update.
Now that iOS 15.1 Beta 2 has been surprisingly made available to registered developers, the feature seems to be back function. However, this requires iOS 15.1 and watchOS 8.1. It is currently not known when the new version will be made available to all users. (Photo by BackyardProductions / Bigstockphoto)
