Apple has released an update to tvOS, which has now migrated the Apple Events app to the TV app.
With the update, Apple TV users can watch the live broadcast of WWDC 2020 directly via the TV app for tvOS. So when users open the familiar Apple Events app, they will receive a message that they will be redirected to the TV app. This change indicates that the Apple Events app will be discontinued completely. It can therefore be assumed that events can be viewed via the TV app in the future.

First keynote in 4K resolution?
Another interesting innovation is that the upcoming Apple Special Event is now listed as a 4K broadcast in the Apple TV app, while all previous Apple events were recorded in 1080p. This means that WWDC 2020 could be the first Apple keynote to be broadcast in 4K resolution. The keynote starts in Germany on Monday, June 22nd at 7 p.m. The event will take place in Apple Park and can be viewed via the Apple Developer app as well as YouTube and Apples website iOS 14, iPadOS 14, tvOS 14, watchOS 7 and macOS 10.16 are expected. In addition to software, hardware could also be presented. (Image: Apple)
