In addition to introducing the new Apple TV 4K, Apple also announced some updates to tvOS 16 today. The company says a future tvOS 16 update will bring an entirely new Siri experience with a new design, personalized recommendations, and more.
In the press release announcing the Apple TV 4K, Apple says that these updates to Siri in tvOS 16 "will make it even easier for customers to control Apple TV with their voice and interact with results." The most important aspect of this new feature is that Siri in tvOS will be able to recognize each user's voice, allowing it to tailor recommendations and show history to each individual user profile.

In this context, Siri on the Apple TV is also being redesigned with a new, card-like interface.
tvOS 16: Siri innovations are available on all Apple TV 4K models
The new Siri pop-ups will appear in the bottom corner of your TV and have a “more compact design.” writes Apple:
New features coming to Apple TV this fall with tvOS 16 include updates to Siri that make it even easier for customers to control Apple TV with their voice and interact with results. Siri on Apple TV has been completely redesigned and will be able to recognize each user's voice, so they can easily access their movies, TV shows, music, games and apps and pick up where they left off. If you use the Siri Remote and ask, "What should I watch?" you can get tailored recommendations. Siri on Apple TV's more compact design allows users to quickly see results without leaving the action on the screen.
Apple has not specified when these new features will actually be added to tvOS 16, as they are not currently available. The features will be available on all Apple TV 4K models, not just the new model announced today. Since tvOS 16.1 is coming next week and the new features are not included in the beta, it is currently assumed that the new features will be added in a later update. (Image: Apple)
