Transparency and authenticity – two features that Facebook is constantly working on. Now a feature is to be released that will be used on both Facebook and Instagram.
Facebook has today introduced a new feature in its own blog post that is intended to provide more transparency. The page operator will be shown in individual posts. To be precise, users should be able to see from which location the page is operated. However, the change will only take effect for large Facebook fan pages or Instagram accounts. It is not known at what size this will be the case. The Contribution:
Ensure reliability and authenticity
We want to make sure people can use our services authentically and understand who is behind the posts they see. This is especially important when it comes to elections, so we're taking extra steps to make pages and stories with large audiences more transparent.

Strictly speaking, the location of the respective page operator should be immediately visible to all users for each post - see images. This should offer users more security and ensure the reliability and authenticity of the content. The change is being introduced as a pilot project in the USA and is aimed specifically at Facebook pages and Instagram accounts that are operated outside the USA but have a large audience in the USA. The expansion of the new measure is also planned. (Photo by Natee Meepian / Bigstockphoto)
