Apple has introduced a new subscription podcast service to compete with Spotify. Users get early access to episodes and can support podcast creators.
At its "Spring Loaded" event, Apple introduced a new podcast service that provides shows exclusively to subscribers. As previously rumored, the new service will be introduced with iOS 14.5. Tim Cook explains:
We're launching an Apple Podcasts subscription that lets you unlock new content plus additional benefits like ad-free listening, early access, and more. So now you can help your favorite podcasters build their businesses and fuel their creativity.
