The Galaxy Z Flip is set to be Samsung's next flip phone. The official presentation of the device is expected tomorrow evening - but the company has already unveiled the previously unannounced smartphone in a TV commercial.
Thanks to various leaks, almost everything is already known about the Galaxy Z Flip. The official presentation is scheduled to take place at Samsung Unpacked tomorrow evening in San Francisco. But the device has already been unveiled. In a commercial break during yesterday's Oscars, Samsung gave viewers an unexpected first look at the as yet unannounced Galaxy Z Flip folding phone. The commercial is around 27 seconds long and shows the device in several orientations.

The Galaxy Z Flip is said to have an ultra-thin glass display and completely solve the problems that the Galaxy Fold had. But the folding mechanism seems to have a small catch. The small print states:
You may notice a small crease in the middle of the main screen, which is a natural feature of the screen.
Overall, observers expect the 6.7-inch Galaxy Z Flip to be slightly cheaper than its predecessor - the Galaxy Fold. However, it remains to be seen whether the device will work perfectly. In addition to the foldable smartphone, Samsung will present the brand new Galaxy S20 - a total of three different models are expected. (Photo by HannaKuprevich / Bigstockphoto)
