Apple has now officially opened its books and announced its results for its third fiscal quarter (second calendar quarter).
Apple has now officially opened the books and released the results for the third fiscal quarter of 2021 (second calendar quarter). Side note: Apple's fiscal year starts on October 1st and ends on September 30th. Apple did not announce a sales forecast at the last quarterly earnings conference either, as the company was unable to provide a realistic estimate due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. Now, however, the numbers are encouraging. Cupertino exceeded expectations with an EPS (earnings per share) of $1.30. Analysts on average forecast $1.01 per share. That makes total sales of $81.43 billion and profits of $21 billion. expressed Apple boss Tim Cook said:

In terms of dividends, the Cupertino-based company said it would pay out $0.22 per share on August 12. The company has also not provided a forecast for the current quarter due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. The stock was only able to increase by 0.50 percent after hours.
