Apple today announced that the company will report its results for its second fiscal quarter (first calendar quarter) of 2023 on Thursday, May 4.
The investor conference call, which usually takes place shortly after the release of Apple's financial results, will be held half an hour later. In the conference call, which will be broadcast via the investor website streamed , executives will discuss results for the three-month period January to March 2023. Side note: Apple's fiscal year starts on October 1st and ends on September 30th. In January, Apple introduced the new MacBook Pro models M2 Pro and M2 Max, new Mac mini devices and the updated HomePod, as well as the yellow iPhone 14.
Q2/2023 – Can Apple convince?
Apple again declined to provide earnings guidance for the first quarter of 2023. However, in the same period last year, the company reported revenue of $97.3 billion. Apple's chief financial officer Luca Maestri said in January that year-over-year revenue should be similar to the December quarter. Services and iPhone revenue will increase, while Mac and iPad revenue are expected to decline by double digits year-over-year due to the timing of product launches.
