Apple has now announced that the company will announce its results for the second fiscal quarter of 2022 on April 28. There will also be the usual conference call with CEO Tim Cook and CFO Luca Maestri.
The investor conference call, which usually takes place shortly after the release of Apple's financial results, will be held half an hour later. In the conference call, which will cover the investor website streamed, executives will discuss results for the three-month period ending March 2022. Side note: Apple's fiscal year begins October 1 and ends September 30. After the holiday season, second-quarter results tend to be lower because they include the end of the peak sales period. While Apple did not introduce any new products in the first few months of the quarter, the company did launch new hardware in March.
Q2/2022: Apple refrains from providing detailed forecasts
The new products include the Mac Studio, the Studio Display, the third-generation iPhone SE and the iPad Air 5 with M1 equipment. In the previous quarter, Q2 2021, Apple reported sales of $89.6 billion, an increase of 54% year-on-year. Of this, $47.9 billion came from the iPhone, $9.1 billion from the Mac and $7.8 billion from the iPad. The wearables, home and accessories business brought in $7.8 billion, while the services division continued its regular growth to $16.9 billion.
