Apple may soon release iOS 16.4.1, an emergency update to fix problems with the weather app and WiFi passwords.
Some iPhone users have recently been experiencing issues with the Weather app in iOS. A blank screen has been appearing in the app worldwide, saying that no data is available, although Apple's system status page only mentions Alaska. According to Apple, the problems began at 11:00 p.m. Eastern Time on Monday. In fact, there were reports documented several days earlier. Now a rumor has surfaced about an upcoming software update, iOS 16.4.1. Citing an unknown source with a "proven track record," suspected MacRumors that Apple will release iOS 16.4.1 either this week or next week.

Some Twitter users have also reported issues with WiFi passwords in iOS 16.4. Separately, some Mac users have reported network connection issues with macOS Ventura 13.3. This resulted in users who had connected to Apple devices or from Apple to Windows using an SMB connection suddenly being unable to do so. It is not unusual for Apple to release minor updates such as iOS 16.4.1 to fix security vulnerabilities or major issues with the software. As soon as the iPhone update is officially released, we will of course report. (Photo by hadrian / Bigstockphoto)
