A problem with Apple Music is currently causing confusion and frustration among users. Instead of their own playlists, other users' lists are sometimes displayed in the app. It is still unclear how many users are affected.
Apple Music is a popular music streaming service offered by Apple. The service offers a huge selection of songs, albums and playlists. However, there is currently a problem that is causing concern among users. Some users are reporting in Reddit threads of seeing playlists in their Apple Music app that are clearly not of their own making. Some of these lists have strange names that suggest they may have been hacked, but it's more likely that it's a bug in Apple Music's servers.
Confusion with Apple Music: Error shows foreign playlists
It is currently unclear how many users are affected by this issue, but it is widespread enough that it cannot be an isolated problem. A Reddit user named CripplingToaster wrote:
I went to Listen Now > Profile > Edit Profile and when I scrolled down to the shared playlists, I saw that only my original playlists were showing and not the ones that had randomly popped up.
The bottom line is that the Apple Music issue is annoying and has left some users feeling uneasy. Although it is currently unclear how many users are affected, it is likely that Apple is working on a solution to fix the problem. It remains to be seen how quickly the whole thing can be fixed and how Apple will ensure that a similar problem does not recur in the future. (Image: Apple)
