The world's first gamer-centric web browser, Opera GX Mobile, officially enters open beta on iPhone and iPad.
Web gaming on iPhone and Android continues to gain momentum with services like Microsoft's xCloud and Nvidia's GeForce Now, and Opera today opens the beta of its customized browser for gamers. Opera GX Mobile is designed to be the mobile counterpart to Opera GX, a gamer-focused browser that Opera released in 2019. Opera GX has over nine million users, and the company says there has been strong user demand for a mobile version. Loud Opera's mobile version offers custom navigation with the integrated Fast Action Button. It also offers vibration and haptic feedback. Opera GX Mobile also offers Flow, a feature that allows users to synchronize between desktop and mobile environments using QR codes.

Flow also lets users transfer files up to 10MB in size between the mobile and desktop versions in an encrypted chat-like space. Also exclusive to Opera GX is the GX Corner, a home screen feature that highlights gaming news and deals and includes a game release calendar. Users can also customize the look of Opera GX Mobile, with four themes to choose from including GX Classic, Ultra Violet, Purple Haze and White Wolf.
