If manufacturers want to release new devices, they must first be registered with various authorities.
In order to sell new devices in Europe, a registration with the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) is required. This was already done on January 25th Apple has now received a new entry from the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). According to this, Apple has registered two previously unknown iPad models for the Indian market. The entry is consistent with statements by Bloomberg as well as previous leaks and rumors – according to which Apple has a iPad mini 5 and wants to release a new entry-level iPad in the spring. The model numbers of the registered devices are A2124 and A2133. These are already known from the EEC database. However, Apple has had seven devices certified there. This may be a model in two versions - Wifi and Wifi+Cellular.
This year's spring keynote is expected at the end of March. In addition to new iPad models, rumors and leaks suggest that new AirPods, the charging mat AirPower and a new one iPod touch appear.
