Well-known star analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has returned with a new note to investors. In it, he addresses the current demand for the new Apple smartphone.
The respected TFI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has published a new report in which he has made a new forecast for iPhone 11 sales. Kuo believes that demand for the new iPhone models is higher than expected. The reason for this is the new colors - according to the analyst. The new midnight green of the iPhone Pro series is said to be the decisive factor. The purple and green colors of the iPhone 11 should not be overlooked either. While the midnight green iPhone Pro is in great demand in the USA, the iPhone 11 is preferred in China - writes Kuo. Apple's attractive trade-in program and interest-free payment plans are the trigger for an upgrade. In view of the positive signs, TFI Securities has increased its estimates for iPhone sales in 2019. The analysts believe that Apple will sell around 70 - 75 million units in 2019 - previous estimates were around 65 - 70 million devices. The high level of interest is also likely due to the new camera and the base price of the iPhone 11, according to Kuo.
New camera features
The entry-level model is available for as little as $699 (€799) - as part of the update, the devices can boast a new camera and many associated functions. Kuo believes that the iPhone 11 is particularly attractive for iPhone 6 / 6S and 7 owners.
The main improvements to the iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro include a new night mode and the ability to take 4K recordings at 60 FPS with an extended dynamic range. Thanks to the A13 chip, performance has been increased by around 20 percent in all models - general durability and water resistance have also been increased.
