After a long testing phase, Microsoft will release its Xcloud game streaming service to all Safari users on iPhone, iPad and Mac in the next few weeks.
iPhone and iPad owners will soon be able to play many of their favorite Xbox games and Windows titles from their devices, thanks to Microsoft's efforts to make games streamable from Safari. Microsoft originally wanted to offer its Xcloud app natively on Apple devices. But Apple's App Store guidelines prohibited streaming games outside of the app unless each title had its own App Store listing. Google and Microsoft refused to do this, effectively banning services like Xcloud and Google Stadia from the App Store, leaving iOS and iPadOS gamers empty-handed.

According to Microsoft, interested parties must purchase an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which is available directly on the Xbox website can be purchased. Microsoft is currently offering a limited-time offer that allows new users to try the service for three months for just one euro. After the trial period, the service automatically renews for 12.99 euros per month until it is canceled. (Image: Microsoft)
