The well-known Telegram Messenger has received a new update to match iOS 13. 3D Touch has now been eliminated.
The new Telegram version 5.12 includes some improvements and changes. For example, the general search in the chat has been improved. Furthermore, users can now continue playing longer audio files (longer than 20 minutes) at a later time - the app remembers the progress. Although the Telegram Messenger has had a dark mode for some time, it has now been adapted to iOS 13 - iPad support has also been further improved. But probably the biggest change is the departure from 3D Touch.
According to the update description, the 3D Touch functions have been replaced by the new Haptic Touch – this change has a positive effect because it works surprisingly smoothly. - Improved search. If you tap on the number of search results in the chat, they appear in a list.
- Improved playback of long audio files and podcasts (longer than 20 mins). Resume where you left off, hold and swipe the progress bar down to change the speed of fast forward and rewind, 2x speed.
- Improved iPad support. Optimized design in the new iOS 13 style, new pop-up windows for easier navigation.
- Various improvements for iOS 13 (new pop-up windows and 3D Touch actions replaced with 'press and hold').
