MediaMarktSaturn, Europe's leading retailer for consumer electronics, has now announced in a press release that it is now an authorized Apple service provider.
iPhone repairs have been offered at Media Markt and Saturn for a good two years now. However, the use of original parts was not possible until now. That is changing from today. As the company has announced, MediaMarktSaturn will now be listed as an authorized Apple service provider. MediaMarktSaturn CEO Ferran Reverter is quoted as saying:
iPhone repair: No appointment necessary
The consistent expansion of our services is a central component of our strategy. With our omnichannel approach, we aim to offer our customers the best possible service across all channels - via app, online and, above all, in our markets, the heart of our business model. Authorization as an Apple Service Provider is another important step on our path to becoming a consistently customer-oriented company.
In 2018, the company introduced the so-called "SmartBars" in the markets to repair smartphones quickly and easily. Thanks to the certification as an authorized Apple service provider, original Apple spare parts are now used for immediate iPhone repairs. This means that the manufacturer's warranty is now also maintained. What is particularly interesting is that a repair does not require an appointment. This means that customers can inquire directly in the respective market and hope for a quick repair. According to the press release, the new service is being launched in Germany from today. The offer is to be introduced in twelve other European countries by the end of 2021. (Image: MediaMarktSaturn)
