In addition to the iPhone 12 series, Apple has also introduced brand new accessories with magnetic technology, including the iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe. According to the product page, it is only compatible with iPhone 12 models. However, there is a smart solution for older iPhone devices.
Apple has introduced the iPhone 12 consisting of four devices in three different sizes. While the camera modules differ, all four devices have the same A14 chip, 5G support and the revived MagSafe technology. This means that all four iPhone 12 models have been equipped with a magnet on the back of the device. Apple calls the whole thing MagSafe. The technology allows a new charging method and opens up new options in the area of accessories. In the course of this, a very interesting product was also introduced presented – the iPhone Leather Wallet with MagSafe. The new card case is designed to be magnetically attached to the back of iPhone 12 models.
MagSafe Leather Wallet: I made good use of the waiting time
Users can put credit cards, their ID or something similar in it. Maybe cash? Actually, as already explained, the accessory is only compatible with the current Apple smartphone line-up. But older iPhone devices can also benefit from it. The solution for this is a Pitaka case. The manufacturer is known for its cases made of aramid fiber. But that's not all. The MagEZ case - for example - has built-in magnets. Since I'm waiting for the iPhone 12 Pro Max, I was a bit bored in the meantime. Side note: The iPhone 12 Pro Max and Mini can be pre-ordered from November 6th. For this reason, I did something useful and tried the whole thing out myself.

Apple's MagSafe Wallet sticks to both my iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone XS Max. So, since Pitaka allows us to use Apple Wallet with older devices, let's now clarify which iPhone models are actually compatible.

MagSafe Leather Wallet: These iPhone models are compatible
Pitaka, for example, offers the MagEZ Case for all iPhones from the 7th or 8th generation or newer. This means that an iPhone X can also “carry” the Apple Wallet. If you don’t know Pitaka yet, you can read my extensive test article on it read through. I am personally fully convinced of it. By the way – if Apple’s wallet is too expensive for you, you might be interested in Pitaka’s solution. Yes, they also offer a cool wallet – more about it hereSo if you really want to buy a Pitaka case, you will find a large selection in our storefront on Amazon. I would like to point out one more thing. Despite everything, you should make sure that the wallet does not fall off when you put your iPhone in your pocket. The problem has already been documented in combination with the iPhone 12. Ultimately, the magnets are not strong enough for that. (Image: Apple)
