Apple introduced the MagSafe chargers in October. The single model is already available - but the duo version is still a long way off. However, there is now a hint that the product could be released shortly before Christmas.
Apple introduced the MagSafe and MagSafe Duo at the iPhone 12 Show in October. The simple charger has been available for a few weeks - but the market launch of the Duo version is still pending. That could change by Christmas, however. The Swiss Apple dealer Digitec Galaxus is a popular store in Switzerland that offers a variety of products, including Apple devices. Digitec Galaxus is also listed as an authorized Apple reseller. Swiss customers can now purchase the MagSafe Duo charger from this same dealer pre-order.
MagSafe Duo: Test devices have already been shipped
According to the website, delivery of the new product will start between December 16 and 23. Originally, December 21 was stated. But that seems to have changed in the last few hours. Apple itself has not yet given any information about the market launch. But information from an authorized Apple dealer should not be ignored under any circumstances. In addition, the company has already sent test devices to the press. For this reason, a market launch this year is not out of the question. The charger costs 145.20 euros in this country and can charge an iPhone 12 and an Apple Watch at the same time. However, the product is delivered without a power supply - more on that below.
