Apple today released updated firmware for the MagSafe charger that is compatible with the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models.
So far, the MagSafe charger is running firmware version 9M5069. After the update, the identifier is 10M229. The MagSafe charger was originally launched in autumn 2020 together with the iPhone 12 models and has already received – at least – one firmware update. Since firmware updates are quietly and secretly sent over the airwaves, Apple no release notes available.

This also means that we don't know what new features or bug fixes might be included in the software. Regarding the MagSafe charger, there is also no clear method to update the firmware. However, it must be plugged in and connected to an Apple device in order for a firmware update to be performed. You can check the firmware of your MagSafe charger yourself at any time.
