Apple appears to have released an updated firmware for the MagSafe Battery Pack that is compatible with iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 models that support MagSafe accessories.
The updated firmware should be available over the air starting today. This means that owners of the MagSafe Battery Pack should see the version number 2.7.b.0 in the Settings app after installing the firmware. Firmware updates are transmitted over-the-air in the background.

Apple does not provide release notes, so we do not know what features or bug fixes may be included in the software. There is no clear method to update the MagSafe Battery Pack's firmware, but it should be connected to an iPhone for the update to initiate.
