After Apple has already released the second beta of iOS 15, iPadOS 15, tvOS 15 and watchOS 8, the second preview of macOS Monterey has now been released.
Apple has now officially released the second beta of macOS Monterey for registered developers provided. The update can be downloaded as usual via System Preferences. One of the most noticeable features to appear with macOS Monterey is Universal Control. Using the keyboard and mouse or trackpad on a Mac, users can control iPads or other Macs that are nearby. Using a keyboard and mouse, users can switch between controlling any device. But movement between all devices is also possible, with drag and drop working across all devices. The new Mac operating system also brings shortcuts from iOS to the Mac. The automation tool is a simpler system than the well-known Automator or AppleScript, both of which are still supported. If the second preview contains new features, we will report on them separately.
Beta note:
As usual, a preview should not be installed on an actively used device, as they are usually quite unstable and prone to errors - we recommend a second device for this. (Photo by smx12 / Bigstockphoto)
