The latest macOS Monterey beta update, released to developers today, brings Live Text functionality to Intel-based Macs, removing the requirement that users have an M1 Apple Silicon Mac to use the feature, according to Rene Ritchie.
Live Text, included in upcoming updates for macOS Monterey, iOS 15, and iPadOS 15, allows users to interact with text within images, such as phone numbers, addresses, and more. Live Text allows text within images to be selected, allowing users to copy and paste the text elsewhere.
