Today is the day. macOS Mojave will be released this evening at around 7 p.m. Here is a brief insight into the new features and which devices are compatible with the new operating system.
My personal favorite among the top new features is the dark mode. This is a new interface design and can be used in all integrated apps as well as apps from other providers. The feature can be activated in the system settings under "Generally“.

There will also be a great new feature for those who are chaotic. Cluttered and messy “desks“ are a thing of the past. The feature “stack“ helps us to tidy up our desk. It automatically sorts all files into matching groups.
Images, documents, tables, PDFs and more can also be sorted by date. Apple finally takes care of my desk too.
Of course, there are more features waiting for us. But which Macs are compatible with macOS Mojave? Since Metal support is a prerequisite for the new operating system, fewer Mac models will be moving into the next round this year. These are the devices compatible with macOS Mojave:
– All MacBooks since 2015
– MacBook Air since mid-2012
– MacBook Pro since mid-2012
– Mac mini since the end of 2012
– iMac since the end of 2012
– Mac Pro from 2013
– Mac Pro from 2010 and 2012 only with Metal-capable GPU
– iMac Pro
The new operating system can be downloaded from the Mac App Store. Apple will set up a new product page on the homepage for macOS Mojave.
