After Apple released the first beta of iOS 14.5, iPadOS 14.5, tvOS 14.5 and watchOS 7.4 on Monday provided , macOS Big Sur 11.3 follows. Apple's new macOS version contains various improvements and new features, including more customization options in Safari, support for the latest Xbox and PlayStation controllers and more. As reported by Rene Ritchie noted, the new macOS 11.3 beta includes redesigned tabs for Apple News+, a new Made for You shortcut and live events in Listen Now for Apple Music, and better sorting options in the Reminders app. Additionally, settings for iPhone and iPad apps for alternative keyboard input have been added.

Like iOS 14.5 and iPadOS 14.5, macOS Big Sur 11.3 also supports the latest controller generation from Sony and Microsoft. This means that users can now connect the PlayStation 5 DualSense and Xbox Series X controller to a Mac device. In the meantime, the US blog 9to5mac was able to find hints in the code findthat point to a new settings menu that includes details about the Mac warranty, similar to a feature already available in iOS.
