While Apple has already released iOS 13, iPadOS, watchOS 6 and tvOS 13, macOS 10.15 Catalina is still a long way off. But now there seem to be clues about the release date.
The US blog MacRumors has made a discovery on the Danish version of the Apple website that hints at the launch of Apple Arcade on Mac systems. According to the announcement, Apple Arcade for Mac will be available from October 4th via the Mac AppStore. Since the new service is linked to the new operating systems, macOS 10.15 Catalina is of course required. This means that the new Mac operating system should be released by Friday, October 4th at the latest. The advertising text states: "Extraordinary gameplay. Available on the App Store October 4th."
It would of course be a little unusual but not the first time that Apple releases updates on a Friday. The alternative would be that macOS Catalina will be released early next week and Apple Arcade will be added later – on October 4th. Apple itself has not yet given an official release date for macOS Catalina - so far the company has only announced October. Of course, the announcement could also be an error that Apple has not yet noticed. (Photo by Ruslan Ivantsov / Bigstockphoto)
