Apple is said to be planning a MacBook Pro with a completely new design and a 16-inch screen diagonal. This rumor has been with us for many months. Now comes the final proof - thanks to the current macOS 10.15.1 Catalina beta.
Apple released the second beta of macOS 10.15.1 Catalina for developers yesterday evening – this version of the upcoming Mac operating system contains references to a previously unknown device – an image was also secured. The French blog MacGeneration found an entry in the second beta of macOS 10.15.1 Catalina that shows a MacBook Pro with a 16-inch screen diagonal in silver. Basically, it is very similar to the current MacBook Pro - although it has narrower screen bezels. However, a change to the keyboard cannot be confirmed, as it is barely visible in the leaked image.
October event uncertain
Reliable sources have so far claimed that Apple wants to present the new professional notebook this autumn - although October was originally planned. But so far there is no indication of an event. Apple may have postponed the presentation of the new device until next year - according to some observers.
In addition to the new MacBook, a new generation of iPad Pro models expected – here too, there is supposed to be a presentation next year. If Apple is actually planning an event this month, Cupertino would have to send out invitations at the beginning of next week at the latest.
